Quick answers to the things teachers ask most.

A child can’t sign in

Check they’re typing the right class code (codes never use I, L, O, 0 or 1). If they’ve forgotten their beast, give them a new one from their page and reprint their card.

A child has practised at home but I can’t see it

Practice syncs when the device is online. If they practised offline, it appears the next time Spell Beasts is opened with a connection.

Can I use Spell Beasts alongside our spelling scheme?

Yes. Spell Beasts is practice: set the words you’re already teaching, or use the ready-made pattern lists.

How long should children practise?

About seven minutes a day, a few words at a time. Daily sessions and spelling tests are never timed.

What happens at the end of the year?

Archive a class from Setup › Class details and download its progress first if you want a copy. A class nobody uses for a year is deleted, with a warning email 30 days before.
